In a training event for employees, MCERA Retirement Administrator, James Wilbanks, PhD, will explain how your retirement system works, how your retirement benefit is determined, and address concerns about the future of the retirement system. This seminar will feature an additional presentation about the optional 457 plans offered to Mendocino County employees.

The Mendocino County Employees Retirement Association (MCERA) administers defined retirement plan benefits for Mendocino County, Mendocino County Superior Courts, and the Russian River Cemetery District pursuant to the County Employees Retirement Law Act of 1937 (CERL) and the Public Employee Pension Reform Act (PEPRA). MCERA is governed by a Board of Retirement and is a separate agency from the County of Mendocino. MCERA is committed to working for our active and retired members.
