In honor of the Roots of Motive Power Steam Festival, the Mendocino County Museum will have extended hours with FREE Admission. The Museum hours on Saturday, September 7th and Sunday September 8th will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Roots of Motive Power Steam Festival will be held at the Roots of Motive Power Yard (next door to the Museum) September 7th and 8th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This FREE event includes historic train rides and an opportunity to observe historic steam equipment demonstrations like steam shovels, steam rollers, stationary engines, tractors and more! During a visit to the Festival, all are welcome to stop by the Museum and see Frontier Days: A Collector’s Journey exhibit and learn more about Mendocino County’s unique history.
