Fire Cider Community Medicine Making Circle
November 24, 10 am to 12:00 pm
with herbalist Jacqueline Strock of Roots Herbal Apothecary
Fire cider is a traditional wellness remedy first made famous by beloved herbalist Rosemary Gladstar in the late 1970s.
We will talk about the history of this herbal remedy and create one to take home.
The class is free but participants need to bring their own clean 8 oz. jar, a head of organic garlic, an organic onion, some fresh organic ginger root, and an organic lemon or orange.
Organic apple cider vinegar will be provided as well as a variety of herbs.
Please bring a cutting board and sharp knife that you like to use for chopping herbs.
Don't stress if you can't bring everything yourself because the idea of it being a community sharing circle is that everyone will bring enough to share.
You must preregister for this free class as there is limited space. Please sign up by emailing Jacqueline at rootsdoctor@mcn.org or call Julia Larke at the library, 882-3114
