Reporting a potential Outbreak to Public Health

Businesses are required to report to Public Health when they have three (3) COVID-19 positive employees reported within a 14 day period.

An outbreak in a non-healthcare setting occurs when an employer identifies three (3) or more cases of COVID-19 at a worksite within a 14 day period. They are required to report within 48 hours.

Businesses can report positive cases by calling or sending an email to the call center.  An outbreak investigator will get in contact to obtain additional information about the potential outbreak.

An Outbreak Line List is a useful tool that helps to track COVID-19 positive employees.  The Outbreak Investigator will help you complete this form or you can complete it on your own.
