New Streamlined Renewal Application Instructions (Updated July 1, 2020)

Attention All Cannabis Cultivation Renewal Applicants who currently have a Renewal Application submitted to the Cannabis Program that is pending and Permit Holders needing to renew their Cultivation Permit:

On November 25, 2019, the Cannabis Program implemented a new cannabis renewal application process.  The purpose of this process is to simplify and streamline the issuance of Renewal Permits and in most cases we hope to issue a Renewal Permit immediately upon application, and in most cases over the counter.

Every Cannabis Cultivation permit holder that is eligible to renew their permit or has already applied using the old renewal application process must submit a new Renewal Application Form. If you have previously submitted a renewal application that is currently pending, any other supporting documentation submitted with that application may be used to meet the supporting document requirements of the new renewal application. If you have already paid your renewal application fee, you will not be required to pay it again.

Any new renewal applicants that have NOT already submitted an application that is pending are encouraged to submit this new Renewal Application and all supporting documentation before their current permit expires. In all cases, applications should be submitted no later than 30 days after expiration of your current permit. The expiration date on your current permit is located on the issued Mendocino County Cannabis Cultivation Permit.


Cannabis Cultivation Permit Renewal Application:

Complete the following forms and provide the following documentation:

 1. Renewal Application Form (Revised July 20, 2020)

Please read and complete this form. Within the applications instructions, if there are any changes from the original application such as a permit type change or change to the site plan additional forms and information are required including and not limited to the following:

If Applicable: Cultivation and Operations Plan Form

If Applicable: Updated Site Plan

If Applicable: New Property Owner Consent Form

First year Renewal Applications, If Applicable: Compliance Plan Exhibit A Clearance showing proof of building permit(s) application as outlined by 10 A.17.100 (C)(1)(a-c)

 2. Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Applicant, Owner, State Licensee and Employee List

If Applicable: Valid Identification Card (colored copies) if there are new owner(s), employees being added.

3. Provide State Water Resource Control Board (SWRCB) Documentation

Enrollment Evidence from State Water Board.

4. Provide California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Documentation

Final Lake or Stream bed Alteration Agreement (LSAA) from CDFW or all applicable correspondence from CDFW directly demonstrating proof of Application submission for the same.
