School Field Trip Reservations for Grades K-12
Mendocino County School groups K-12 have the opportunity to visit the Mendocino County Museum free of charge. A reservation appointment is required and can be made by filling out the School Field Trip Request Form.
In order to accommodate your group reservation requests are asked to be made at minimum of 2 weeks in advance. School Field Trip Reservations are offered Wednesday – Friday between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., with the exception of County recognized holidays when the Museum is closed to the public. Schools must have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 45 people per reservation. One (1) adult chaperone is required for every ten (10) students. There is limited availability.
Mendocino County Museum offers self guided and guided tours of the Museum's main galleries, and by special request and based on the availability of our volunteers, we can also offer tours of the Engine House located adjacent to the Museum which stores a locomotive, caboose, and other train equipment owned by the Roots of Motive Power, a volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of historical logging and steam railroad equipment.
Adult Groups and Tours
Adult groups who would like a tour of the Museum can make a reservation by filling out the Tour Reservation Form. In order to accommodate your group we asked that tour requests be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Adult tours are offered Wednesday – Friday between 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with the exception of County recognized holidays when the Museum is closed to the public. Adult group tours must have a minimum of 10 people with a maximum of 45. Admission rates are $4 per person.
