Covid 19 - Animal Care Services
Business Operations @ Animal Care Services
As Mendocino County transitions back into a reopening, Animal Care Services is currently only able to provide limited animal sheltering services for our customers & volunteers.
Covid 19 Phases
As the State of California & Mendocino County approve the upcoming transition phases, Animal Care Services restrictions will hopefully be loosened and in a position to add additional animal sheltering services for the customers & volunteers.
Currently during the normal business hours of operation the front door is locked. Animal Care Services is requesting that customers please knock on the front door and staff will greet you. Depending on your request we may be able to assist you.
Currently Animal Care Services requires customers to have the appropriate facial covering when visiting our facility. Service for customers without facial coverings may be denied.
As we progress through the phases Animal Care Services will be establishing a maximum limit of customers & volunteers permitted in the building at one time to ensure that proper social distancing practices are being adhered to and for safety of the customers & staff.
As we progress through the phases Animal Care Services will have proper seating arrangements, hand sanitizer and sneeze guards in place for the customers at the front counter & office areas for the safety of the customers & staff.
As we progress through the phases Animal Care Services will only be entertaining only potential adopters who have scheduled an appointment in advance to ensure safety for the customers & staff. Unfortunately, visitors will not be permitted to stop in and socialize with the shelter animals until phase 4 - the shelter in place order has been lifted.
As we progress through the phases Animal Care Services will be establishing an online scheduling sign up list with applicable dates & times of visitation on our website. Depending on the phase and when volunteers will be permitted back in the facility, volunteers may be required to wear a facial covering while inside the facility.
