High Temperatures Return
Cooling Stations Open to the Public

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch for inland Mendocino County for Thursday, August 30, 2017, through Monday, September 4, 2017. Temperatures on these days are expected to reach 100 to 115 degrees. High daytime temperatures are expected to persist through early next week. The coastal regions will be at low to no risk and will not meet the criteria for this event.

High temperatures increase the risk of dehydration and other heat related illnesses. Please be especially mindful of those who have limited mobility or are susceptible to the heat, including children and older adults. It is suggested that individuals attempt to reduce exertion, stay in a cool place when possible, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
