Out of the Ashes: Community Rebuilding Through Art

Art Exhibit Reception

Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Join us in celebrating community rebuilding through art! A group of local artists have come together to respond to devastating wildfires by creating visual art that expresses the community’s hope and strength arising after Mendocino County’s recent fires.

This new art exhibit features over 30 pieces of artwork from local artists and survivors who have created art as a way for personal healing and community rebuilding. Out of the Ashes: Community Rebuilding Through Art will be on display at Mendocino County Museum from October 6, 2018 until November 11, 2018.

To celebrate, Mendocino County Museum will host an Art Exhibit Reception on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The Art Exhibit Reception is free to the public and will include access to the Out Ashes exhibit, as well as performances of poi twirling and mystic soul drummers.
