Britannica School and Escolar added to Mendocino County Library databases

The State Library of California is providing at no cost to the Mendocino County Library two online databases for K-12 students:  Britannica School and Britannica Escolar.

Online content from Encyclopaedia Britannica is available at school, at home, in libraries, on laptops, tablets, and on phones to all library users who access the site. Britannica School provides teachers and students with up-to-date, curated, and curriculum relevant articles, images, videos, audio clips, primary sources, maps, research tools, recommended web sites. Britannica School is designed for three levels of learning: Elementary, Middle, and High School.

Britannica Escolar is the leading knowledge-building resource universally trusted for accurate and age-appropriate content in for elementary and middle school students for native Spanish speakers, bilingual students and students learning Spanish. Search for information easily and conveniently at one level and then, with one click, view additional results on the same topic at the other level.

Britannica School and Escolar provide handy tools for how-to-conduct research to build essential information literacy skills. Create a login and group together related content types for activities or projects with the easy-to-use content collector.
