Research and Collection Access 

Whether you are looking for an old newspaper article, conducting research for an academic project, or hoping to view an artifact donated by your family the Mendocino County Museum welcomes your interest. Upon request our archived holdings, reference collection, and artifacts are accessible. Please fill out and submit the form below to begin your research request.

Fees are applied to help offset the cost of specific requests that require additional time and processing outside of our delivery standard. For a detailed list of Museum fees please view our complete Fee Schedule.

Reference Collection  

Our newly re-catalogued Reference Collection holds 850 bound volumes, 40 periodical titles, and several newspapers on microfilm. Materials cover a range of topic such as: the Boontling language of Boonville, Pomo Basketry, Railroad and Timber history, and the culinary arts of the Mendocino Coast.
