Challenged and Censored: Banned Books Week 2019 at Mendocino County Library

Mendocino County Library is pleased to offer a countywide program highlighting Banned Books Week. Challenged and Censored will feature readings from selected adult banned books that will encourage the audience to guess which book it is, and why it is banned. Each reading will be followed by a lively discussion with audience participation encouraged. Banned Books Week is an annual event held at the end of September to bring awareness and celebrate the freedom to read.
The Challenged and Censored program will kick off at the Coast Community Library on Sunday 9/22 at 2:00 pm, Willits Library on Tuesday 9/24 at 5:30 pm, Ukiah Library on Wednesday 9/25 at 5:30 pm and Fort Bragg Library on Friday 9/27 at 5:00 pm.
